A prayer for Veterans

Heavenly Father,

We lift up our veterans—those who have stood in the gap, who answered the call to serve with courage, strength, and sacrifice. You, Lord, are the Great Healer, the Prince of Peace, and the Provider of every good and perfect gift. Today, we ask You to pour out Your blessings on those who have worn the uniform.

Heal the wounds they carry—seen and unseen. Mend the broken places in their minds, their bodies, and their hearts. Where trauma lingers, bring Your divine restoration. Where memories haunt, bring the light of Your truth. Let Your mercy flow like a river over every scar, washing away guilt, fear, and pain. Remind them that nothing is wasted in Your hands, and You are able to turn every burden into testimony.

Grant them prosperity—not just in finances, but in every area of life. Open doors of opportunity, of purpose, of favor. Let their years of service be honored not just in words, but in actions that uplift them and their families. May they thrive in community, in calling, and in character. Teach them to receive with grace as they once gave with courage.

And Lord, above all, blanket them in peace. A peace not of this world, but the kind that surpasses all understanding. Let it guard their hearts and minds. Let them know rest in You—the kind they never had in the heat of battle. May Your presence be their calm, their assurance, and their everlasting refuge.

Bless them abundantly, Father. Surround them with love, purpose, and hope. May their days ahead be filled with light, their homes filled with joy, and their souls filled with the comfort that only You can give.
